Thank you to our wonderful customers, we appreciate your support of our business and love caring for your best friend.
Aussie Pooch Mobile Dog Wash is an essential service for your pets and all of our groomers have increased their hygienic procedures to protect not only themselves, but you and your pooch. The preventative measures we have in place ensure that we can continue offering our washing & grooming services.
It’s important not to neglect washing your dog as this can lead to other problems – including skin irritations, ear and nail problems, smell, excess hair and fleas. It is vitally important to continue washing them, as a clean dog creates a cleaner environment in which it lives. The best part is, our service can be completely contactless so there is no need for your pooch to miss out on their essential wash & groom.
The health and wellbeing of our clients, staff, groomers & the communities we service in, is paramount. We are actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following official Government guidelines.
To help ensure your pets health and wellbeing we will continue as scheduled, unless directed otherwise. If you wish to change your scheduled appointment, we ask that you contact your local groomer and do so with as much notice as possible.
How can we work together?
Given the current conditions, we have procedures in place to protect ourselves and you that meet with government guidelines ensuring soap, disinfection and social distancing. We appreciate that some of you do love to give us a helping hand at our trailers, but we ask you not to at this time. We all need to work together and practice social distancing. Aussie Pooch Mobile can operate with no contact with you and still ensure your pooch is cared for.
You will receive a call/text reminding you of your appointment and arranging to have your furry family member available in an easily accessible prearranged place at your home.
If you are in isolation, please advise and we can reschedule your appointment.
At this time we are not accepting cash and kindly ask you to contact your local groomer for their preferred payment method.
Can COVID-19 infect pets or be transmitted by them?
There is no evidence that pet dogs or cats are a source of infection to other animals or humans. We are continuing to monitor this situation and will provide updated information as it becomes available.
Should I avoid contact with pets or other animals if I am sick with COVID-19?
The Australian Veterinary Association advises the following.
Your pet is part of your family and you will want them to have the same level of protection and care as any other family member. Current information suggests there is no apparent risk to you or your pet from being in quarantine with you. However, we do advise all pet owners continue to practice appropriate hand hygiene before and after handling their pet, their food and washing food/water bowls. At no stage should pet owners do anything that may compromise the welfare of their pets. We suggest minimising close contact with your pet during this time, such as hugging, face to face contact or sleeping on your bed.
What do I do if I am in quarantine or self-isolation and my pet is unwell?
The Australian Veterinary Association advises the following.
If you are in quarantine, do not break quarantine to take your pet to the veterinarian even if your pet is unwell. By doing this you will put your veterinarian and staff at risk of infection. Ring your veterinary surgery first and ask for advice. If your pet needs to be seen, your veterinarian will be able to work with you to ensure your pet will receive the care they need, while keeping themselves and their staff safe from COVID-19 infection. If your vet provides house calls, please let them know you are under quarantine before they arrive. If you have any other concerns about your pet, please ask your veterinarian.
All appointments will go ahead as planned unless new government restrictions are announced. Need to make an appointment? Click on any of the links below and contact your local groomer. They will work with you to ensure the best possible care for your pooch.
Thank you all so much for supporting local business and we wish everyone good health. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to call us on 1300 369 369.
